I grew up in Lawrenceville, Illinois and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University in 1992. I taught 1st grade, then 2nd grade in 1993-1996 at Coulston Elementary School in Shelbyville, Indiana. My husband's employer, Nalco Chemical Company, transferred us to the Evansville area in 1996. I have been a teacher at Newburgh Elementary School since then, teaching 4th grade a year, 3rd grade 15 years, and now I'm beginning my 4th year as a 5th grade teacher. In 2002, I added a Master's Degree from University of Southern Indiana to my education.
I live in Newburgh with my husband of 22 years, Gary, and my two boys ages 15 and 10.
